Il Pincio- Scopriamo Roma

Il Pincio è uno dei posti più affollati dai turisti in visita a Roma. Merito della sua splendida vista sulla città, in particolare su la cupola di San Pietro, e lo sguardo che si allarga fino a Montemario e alla terrazza del Gianicolo.

Le origini

Il nome viene dal colle (Pinciano), e non fa parte dei famosi sette colli su cui venne fondata la città. Durante il periodo repubblicano, era la dimora di numerose famiglie aristocratiche che vide il suo culmine durante l’età augustea. La zona comincia ad andare in declino dal periodo tardo antico, fino a diventare praticamente disabitata ed incolta fino al XVIII secolo.

L’opera di Valadier

Il progetto e la realizzazione dei giardini del Pincio fu opera di Giuseppe Valadier che propose il suo progetto già nel 1794 a papa Pio VI. L’idea iniziale di creare dei giardini sul Pincio fu dei Francesi nel periodo della loro occupazione di Roma (1808 – 1814). Si voleva realizzare un’area verde che potessero utilizzare i cittadini romani: così nacque il primo giardino pubblico della Capitale.

Dopo essere stato per qualche decennio zona militare per la difesa di Roma (1849), periodo in cui comincia a riempirsi di mezzi busti di marmo di , nel 1871, con l’unificazione di Roma, il Pincio vede nuove migliorie.

Curiosità e aneddoti

Interessante il progetto “Dal Pincio di Roma a quelli delle altre città italiane” dove altre città nominano Pincio, giardini che richiamano le stesse caratteristiche di quello della Capitale:  panoramicità, abbondanza di sempreverdi, impianto geometrico dei sentieri e, quasi ovunque, una terrazza panoramica per ricordare quella celebre della capitale, alla quale a volte si accede, come a Roma, per mezzo di una scalinata monumentale.

Forse in pochi sanno che, per queste caratteristiche, la scalinata che porta alla piazza dove nacque il quartiere Garbatella (Piazza Brin), viene chiamato dai residenti “Pincetto“

I nostri clienti. Vogliamo ripartire da voi e con voi. Vedervi a bordo dei nostri taxi, come amici che non senti da un po’ e ti fa piacere rivedere, sapere come hanno passato questi due anni. Per questo vi accogliamo con un sorriso e la cortesia di sempre, con le auto in ordine e i consueti servizi a bordo.
